Detour at Stone Pile Gap Roundabout Project begins April 7th

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) reports that their construction partners will implement a 90-day detour off Stone Pile Gap Road to continue working on the SR 9/SR 60/Stone Pile Gap Road roundabout project. The detour will begin on Tuesday, April 7.

The intersection of Stone Pile Gap Road and SR9/SR60 will be shut down.

Motorists traveling south from Suches to Stone Pile Gap Road will be detoured onto US 19/SR 9/SR 60 for 3.4 miles, turning right onto Ridley Road for 2.3 miles, then turning left onto Yahoola Road for 1 mile, and then back onto Stone Pile Gap Road.

Motorists traveling north from Dahlonega to Stone Pile Gap Road will be detoured off US 19/SR 9/SR 60, turning left onto Ridley Road for 2.3 miles, then left onto Yahoola Road for 1 mile, and then right onto Stone Pile Gap Road.

Please slow down and drive carefully through the construction zone.
